How Your Belief System Shapes Your Relationships

"Surround yourself with people
that are going to lift your higher!"

Every week, I get an opportunity to attend a couple of wonderful networking events.  I have learned to appreciate them more, but I have to admit that it was not my favorite thing to do, at first.  My reason for feeling this way was that I have always felt that some of the interactions you had with others were very rehearsed, and very one sided. I felt that we all had an agenda and the agenda was to sell.   I also believed that these interactions were not truly sincere.  But I have concluded that your interactions are dependent on your belief system, and you attract what you believe.   When I shifted my belief system into a more positive approach, I discovered that I attracted more true, honest entrepreneurs, that were not only looking for my business, but also cared about their clients, or customers.  When I became the type of entrepreneur I wanted to attract, they found me!  Yes, there are still some that only care about selling, and not necessarily their customers, but those don’t come very often!  My topic for today is on belief and how what you believe is true, you will attract.  We will talk about how you are more powerful than you think and, I will give you three tips to attracting the right people not only for your business, friendships, but also lovers.  The rules apply the same to all three!

Be clear on who you are and who you want in your life and your business.
Who are you?  What are your values?  When you can answer these questions without hesitation, you will discover that you can now dictate who you want into your life.  So many times our desires may be aligned with what is expected of us. Are you a person that beliefs that respect and integrity are your most important core beliefs?  In my case, I value commitment and integrity.  If I say I will do something rain or shine, I will show up.  How about in love?  What do you value?  In my case, I honor respect, commitment, and again integrity.  See how my core values stay the same?  If these core beliefs are not evident in all my relationship, I walk away. Can you say the same for yourself?

Be specific with your ideal relationships.
When I decided that my ideal business clients needed to reflect my values.  It was not hard for me to find them in my life.  I discovered that the energy of commitment and dedication that I was transpiring to the world, pulled the same type of people to my life.  As, I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the net working world, I discovered that I called people that had my same standards into my life.  Look around you.  Are you happy with the people that you have called to your romantic, friendship and business relationships?  Remember these people in your life in some way reflect who you are.  Family, we no control who we got, but you can limit your interactions if they are not contributing to your well-being!

Let your positive energy attract more positive energy!
As, I shifted my view of networking into a more positive view I attracted the right people to my business and to my life.  When you decide to focus on the positive you create more positivity.  Many of you have heard my moving into a ranch story, and how remodeling my home was such chaos.  Well, in the beginning all I would see what was wrong with the house.  I would see everything that needed to be fixed, and this created more fear and anxiety.  Which resulted in more things requiring to fixed.  Finally, when I decided to focus on all the wonderful things my home had, when I focused more on the positive, things did not break as much, and I was happier.  In your case, only think that you will attract people like you, with your morals, and your values!  But when someone filters in that does not reflect who you are, also remember that they are here to teach you something valuable.  Stay, positive and be open to the possibility that you can influence someone to see the world through your eyes!
To recap, to attract the right people in your business, love and relationships you need to be the change you are seeking to see or be what you are desiring to attract.  It starts with knowing who you truly are and what your desire are.  Focus on your values, discover what your core beliefs are.  This will also require some positivity and flexibility.  Stay true to who you are and never compromise who you want to be!  Until next Monday, Believe. Change. Become!

Why I Am Not a Chef

"If you don't build your dreams,
someone else will hire you to build theirs."

I woke up today wondering about my dreams, and why I was not born desiring being a chef, dancer or computer programmer.  I came to the realization that maybe my dreams were given to me so that I may accomplish them, because I was given talent and ability to make them come true!   I don’t desire to be a computer programmer or chef, because that was not the gift I got from God.  The same observation goes for you!  Unfortunately, many of you never really understand or believe that this is so, because you think your dreams sound so far-fetched, so unrealistic.  Many of you think that your dreams are silly or even crazy and that you could never make a business out of them or simply pursue them.  You keep them hidden because you think others will judge you or make fun of you.  I believe that the bigger the dream the better.  I believe that the more outrageous the more you should seek it!  My dream is to be a dream enabler.  I want to be known for empowering individuals to come alive, by realizing their dreams and desires.  I want to give hope to individuals to always take a leap of faith when they are pursuing their dreams.  Today let’s talk about four reasons you should follow your dreams that can result in your dream job.

You call the shots in your life.
When you decide to follow your dreams of becoming your own boss, you discover that you take charge of your life.  You call your own shots!  In your dream job there are no managers or regulations because you are it!  There is this sense of freedom that comes with that.  You are free to express yourself and in doing this you discover things about yourself you never knew you had in you.  I am always amazed how I stumble on certain strengths that I never knew I had.  I love that I plan my day in a way that always brings me joy!

You develop a new sense of responsibility and accountability.
When you become your own boss you will realize that you have to be more hands on your dream job.  You discover that you may have to budget a bit fiercely.  You will learn how to follow up.  You will take personal pride in making sure that your product is representative of you.  In any job that you have there is a sense of responsibility that is demanded of you.  When you are representing your company, it is never demanded, you are happy to show commitment and responsibility to your cause.

You will become an innovator.
When you decide to pursue your passion you may have to quit your job.  I always say that if you have the emotional and financial support to do it, go for it.  But if you don’t, do a little at a time.  When you pursue your passion, you quickly realize that you become an innovator.  In my case, I had to find ways to budget and making do with what I had.  You may need to do the same.  My desire to be successful in what I do is so great, that at times I am surprised how many people have come out of nowhere to support me in my dreams.  This is how I am reminded that I am in the right path.
Success will come in due time.

Patience is the KEY!
The problem many people have with following their dreams is that they expect instant results.  The truth is that you won’t be successful overnight, but that night will come is you stay up for it!  I am always reminded of my success when I wake up each morning, and do the work I love.  I am successful, because I call my own shots!  I come alive when I see others pursue their passion.  To be successful requires patience and dedication, but while you wait stay optimistic and believe that your dreams and goals were given to you so that they are accomplished!

In conclusion, you will make your dream come true when you believe that your dream was given to you and only YOU to accomplish it!  What you desire is your special thumb print.  It's what makes you unique, it's what makes you special.  Don't forget that you have the ability and intelligence to make it into a business if you desire it.  You also need to understand that it won’t be easy, but if you stick it out it will be worth it!  As a dream enabler, I believe in you and you should too!  Until next time, Believe. Change. Become.

Remember Your Light and Listen to Your Sinergy!

"When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you."
-African Proverb

I have a keynote speaking engagement coming up pretty soon.  I have been preparing for this presentation for over a month now and was feeling pretty confident until a couple of days ago.  A few days ago my friends Chester and Lester showed up.  “Who do you think you are?” Chester asks.  “You are going to fail.” Lester affirms.  These are the voices in my head that I named Chester and Lester.  These are the voices of fear.  They come from the ego, I know that they want to protect me but I also know they are inaccurate because they don’t know what I am capable of doing, they don’t know my strength. Sinergy, my true voice reminds Chester that I am a powerful speaker, who has an exceptional message that will bring individuals closer to their purpose.  She informs Lester that I will not fail because I am prepared and have true value to bring!  We all have those voices in our head.  Chester and Lester can be louder and more obnoxious, but if you silence your mind and focus your attention on your true voice, your Sinergy, fears and doubts will go away!

What lies are your Chester and Lester telling you?  Have you named your true voice?

If you want to be successful in a business or in life you need to take risks.  These risks take massive action that will push you to do things that may need you to conquer your fears.  One thing I need you to understand about fear is that it is absolutely normal and part of our human experience.  It’s those voices that you hear that tell you are not smart enough, pretty enough or strong enough to go after your goals and dreams.  Your Chester and Lester have good intentions, but your spirit was not intended to stay safe in a box.  One thing you must never forget is that fear should never hold you back and prevent you from taking action and go after what you want in life.  Here are three ways to overcome fear.

Focus on your Sinergy Voice.
If you silence your Chester and Lester, you will discover that you too have a Sinergy voice.  Now this voice you should listen to.  This voice is the voice that truly knows what you are capable of doing and becoming.  If it’s hard for you to find this voice develop affirmations that build you and increase your self-confidence.  Hang around people that believe in you and build you up.  Read uplifting books to help with that negative inner dialogue that goes in your mind.  Last but not least believe in yourself.  Believe that you have what you need to be successful in your business and life.

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!
Fear pops in when you have not prepared yourself for a task.  In my case one way that I get rid of my Chester and Lester when I have a presentation to do is by reminding them that I am prepared.  That in fact I do know what I am doing and should not be afraid.  Fear comes out of the insecurities that you don’t know how to do something.  Learn the task and conquer those fears!

Get comfortable with fear.
The fastest way to get over fear is to conquer it!  One of my biggest fears is public speaking, yet I decided to defeat this fear by putting myself in the arena as much as I can.  Not doing things that frighten you will increase the likelihood that your fears will become bigger.  You want to control your fears not the other way around.  You should do one thing every day that scares you.  When you do something every day that scares you, your courage grows little by little.  In my case, I get to hear less and less of Chester and Lester.

To make the bold decision to not let fear sabotage your dreams is the best decision you can make to ensure future success.  It is not easy, but being aware of your fears and facing them instead of running away from them is the key to living fully.  Remember to get out of your comfort zone and let your Chester and Lester know what you are made of.  Until next time, Believe. Change. Become!
